Mr. Chan is qualified to practice law both in Australia and China. La Trobe Financial Group, which is 80% owned by Black Rock, is a leading Australian property PE fund management company. Mr. Chan has over 30-year experience in advising corporations from China, Hong Kong, Australia and USA for cross-border investment transactions. He has also participated in academic research and training for many years. He has been appointed as Invited Research Fellow and Professor by Tsinghua University for its EMBA course in HK, continued education program and special topic academic research projects. Mr. Chan’s work experience includes directorship and senior management of Hong Kong, US and Australian publicly listed companies. He used to be Managing Director of Vision Shenzhen Business Park Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of Frasers Property Group 星狮集团from Singapore). 

Mr. Chan practiced law in Australia and was a senior lawyer with Australian law firms Minter Ellison and Corrs Chambers Westgarth between 1989 and 2002. Mr. Chan obtained his LLB from School of Law, Zhong Shan University in People’s Republic of China and obtained his LLM degree from the Law School of Melbourne University,Australia
